Work Matters at your Library

Are you looking for a job or a career change? Are you thinking of starting your own business?  With professional staff and access to a broad range of services, the library is a place to explore, learn and connect.  Work Matters is a national initiative and offers services at at all our Libraries. This service is a partnership initiative of Offaly Libraries and Libraries Ireland. The Work Matters service at your library is a perfect place to explore, research and learn new skills.

What’s available for you at the Library

  • Free membership – Details about joining here
  • Professional staff to provide direction and help with your research
  • PCs and Internet Access, Free Wifi
  • Printing, scanning and photocopying.  Mobile printing service, allowing users to send print jobs into the library printer in advance of their visit. (ask staff for further information on this)
  • Meeting room space, study & research space
  • Online learning – services with access to over 500 e-learning courses and elanguages
  • Business and employment books, journals, newspapers, magazines, trade journals, reports, scholarly journals, wirefeeds
  • Online catalogue with access to items nationwide
  • Workshops, presentations and networking opportunities
  • Computer Courses
  • Join MyOpenLibrary to access Tullamore, Banagher and Ferbane Libraries and have unlimited access from 8am – 10pm every night ( Currently suspended for essential upgrades )
  • Market Research and Company Information
