The demolition of the existing dwelling and construction of 10 no. social housing units;
1 no. 4-bed semi-detached single storey dwelling & 9 no. 2-bed terrace/semi-detached
single storey units, along with associated site development works.
The development has been the subject of an Appropriate Assessment screening in accordance
with the EU Habitats Directive and the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended.
The Appropriate Assessment screening concluded that the proposed development would not
be likely to give rise to significant or indeterminate impacts on any European site, therefore it
complies with section 179A(1) of the Act.
Offaly County Council has carried out a preliminary examination of the nature, size and location
of the proposed development and has determined that the proposed development will not have
significant effects on the environment and does not require an Environmental Impact
Assessment, therefore it complies with section 179A(1) of the Act.
Within a period of 8 weeks beginning on 19th December 2023 and ending on 23rd February 2024
a person may question the validity of any decision of the planning authority by way of an
application for judicial review in accordance with sections 50 & 50A of the act.
