Tugtar fógra leis seo go bhfuil dréachtscéim ullmhaithe ag Comhairle Chontae Uíbh Fhailí chun córas na gCoistí um Beartais Straitéiseacha (CBS) a chur i bhfeidhm. Beidh comhaltaí tofa agus ionadaithe earnála ar gach CBS. Tá foráil sa Dréachtscéim do 4 CBS, is iad sin:
- CBS Beartais Tithíochta & Comhtháthaithe
- CBS Beartais um Pleanáil Eacnamaíoch agus Athghiniúint
- CBS Beartais um Ghníomhaíocht Aeráide, Comhshaoil, Uisce agus Iompair
- CBS Beartais Seirbhísí Pobail, Cultúir agus Éigeandála
Sa dréachtscéim freisin tá moltaí go roghnóidh na hearnálacha féin ionadaithe earnála tríd an Líonra Rannpháirtíochta Pobail. Sonraíonn sé sannadh sealadach earnála/earnálacha chuig gach Coiste um Beartais Straitéiseacha (CBS) agus líon na n-ionadaithe ó gach earnáil do gach CBS.
Caithfidh ionadaíocht a bheith ag na 7 n-earnáil seo a leanas i gcumraíocht CBS na Comhairle:
- Talmhaíocht/Feirmeoireacht
- Comhshaol/Caomhnú
- Forbairt/Tógáil
- Gnó/Tráchtála
- Ceardchumann
- Pobail/Deonach
- Cuimsiú Sóisialta

Notice is hereby given that Offaly County Council has prepared a draft scheme for the implementation of its Strategic Policy Committee system. The membership of each SPC will consist of elected members and sectoral representatives. The Draft Scheme provides for 4 SPCs namely:
- Housing & Integration Policy SPC
- Economic Development Planning and Regeneration Policy SPC
- Climate Action, Environment, Water and Transport Policy SPC
- Community, Cultural and Emergency Services Policy SPC
The draft scheme also includes proposals for the selection of sectoral representatives by the sectors themselves via the Public Participation Network (PPN). It specifies the provisional assignment of sector(s) to each SPC and the number of representatives from each sector for each SPC.
The following 7 sectors must be represented in the Council’s SPC configuration:
- Agriculture/Farming
- Environment/Conservation
- Development/Construction
- Business/Commercial
- Trade Union
- Community/Voluntary
- Social Inclusion
Submissions are now invited in relation to the Draft Scheme, which may be viewed on www.offaly.ie or can be obtained from any public office of Offaly County Council.
Any comment or submission in relation to the Draft Scheme can be made up to and including 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday the 14th August, 2024 by email to corpserv@offalycoco.ie or to the undersigned at Áras an Chontae, Charleville Road, Tullamore.
