Offaly Libraries are delighted to celebrate Engineer’s Week, March 2nd – 8th, a key staple in our STEAM Programme for 2024. Engineers Week is a yearly celebration of the infinite possibilities that the field of engineering explores and is aimed at schoolage children and teens around the country.
The library service will deliver a dynamic programme of events to inspire the budding engineers of tomorrow by hosting a variety of engaging STEAM activities for primary school students such as VEX Robotics Workshops, Paper Plane Workshops, Confetti Cannon Workshops and Lego Bridge Building Workshops at Birr, Clara, Daingean, Edenderry, Kilcormac and Tullamore libraries.
In addition to these workshops, our libraries have plenty of Engineers Week events on offer for children outside of school hours. Please refer to the list below and be sure to contact the hosting library to secure your place, where required.
