Birr Creatives Art Exhibition in Birr Library

Start: 1 Apr 2025 - 12:00 AM
End: 30 Apr 2025 - 12:00 AM

Birr Creatives is a loose collection of crafts people who meet in Birr Library every Wednesday evening from 18.30 – 20.00 to share skills and exchange ideas. New members are welcome to pop in on a casual basis.

Hugh D’Arcy specializes in fine needle work, spending hours, even years on a piece. His inspiration
comes from such wide ranging subjects as Medieval Art up to modern day astronomical images;
methods cover cross-stitching, rug making, to the finest embroidery.

Geraldine Mc Namee specializes in scenes from nature and landscapes, especially relating to the
locality of Birr. Her original framed pictures are painted in canvas using acrylic, and are not for sale.
Prints from the originals are priced separately.

Frances Kawala has worked in stained glass, mosaics, and creates artworks in many mediums.
Non-traditional fabric art methods include quilting, collage, and wool felting.

A selection of work by the Birr Creatives will be on display in Birr Library for the month of April.
