Notice to Farmers in Offaly
Offaly County Council is reminding farmers that the fertiliser – spreading deadline is approaching.
The prohibited periods in Offaly are as follows:
- Chemical fertiliser: September 15 to January 26.
- Slurry: October 8 to January 12.
- Farmyard manure: November 1 to January 12.
Please be aware that spreading outside of these periods is an offence under –
EUROPEAN UNION (GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICE FOR PROTECTION OF WATERS) REGULATIONS 2022.
