Offaly Libraries History Lecture Series 2021
Offaly Libraries recently launched our very exciting new History Lecture series.
Starting on September 9th Dr Ciaran Reilly will be presenting four online lectures celebrating aspects of Offaly History. These will be delivered online via Offaly Libraries’ Facebook and YOUTUBE channels. This series of events has been funded by Creative Ireland.
The topics to be covered are;
- The ‘Big House’ in Offaly: country houses and estates
- The 1798 rebellion in Offaly
- Doing local history in Offaly: A guide to the sources
- Aspects of the Land War of the 1880s in Offaly
