Under Section 11 of the Local Government Rates and other Matters Act 2019, as an owner of a rateable property, you are obliged to notify the local authority if the person liable for rates changes e.g. if you sell the property, if there is a change of tenant or if the tenant leaves and the premises becomes vacant.
