Liam Moylan has been involved in photography since 1978. He completed an MA in Photography at Falmouth University. Walking on Water, his second solo show, examines the memories we hold and how they may change with the redevelopment and rewilding of both the commercial and private boglands in Ireland.
Within his work, Liam includes part of a family archive and handwritten memories. This evokes memories and prompts the viewer to reminisce about bygone times on these wonderful lands.
Using a peat solution in the image process, Liam creates a bond with the landscape, strengthening the connection.
Visitors to the exhibition are invited to post their own bogland in the memory box.
The exhibition will run in Birr Library for the month of February.
