Qualification for a Grant
To qualify for a grant a DWWTS must be selected for inspection and found not to be working effectively. There are 3 ways a DWWTS can be selected for inspection.
- The National Inspection Plan. The areas are selected by the EPA and the LA do not have any influence over this. If a property is selected for inspection the occupier will be notified. No application form is available, nor can the occupier request an inspection. National Inspection Plan Document
- Prioritised Areas for Action, as detailed in the River Basin Management Plan 2018 – 2021. The EPA set the criteria and LAWPRO are responsible for selecting the property for inspection. An application form is only available when LAWPRO notifies the occupier that the property is eligible to apply for a grant. Completed application forms are processed by the LA. The LA have no influence on what property is inspected, nor can the occupier request an inspection. Prioritised Areas for Action Document
- High Status Objective Catchment Area. This is also set by the EPA. However, you can identify if a property is in one of these areas (link to map included in document below) and an application form is available. Completed application forms are processed by the LA.
